Wildlife in Şanlıurfa

Şanlıurfa, founded along the River Fırat and having a climate which is complete substitute a dessert at some places, hosts a rich wildlife, including some dessert species, as well. "Bald ibis" whose species is endangered and "Striated scops owl" which is endemic to Birecik (Şanlıurfa) are some of them.
